Working Out | Damon

Elena had always liked keeping in shape and the Gym was one of the places you would most likely find her at. She wasn’t living with her parents anymore and was at Palmwoods in an apartment of her own. She wasn’t living with her boyfriend though since he was having a house of his own around LA. When she needed privacy though she went out there to visit him but it was in one of those improvised visits she found out that he was cheating on her with another girl as he was having quite a hot scene with her. She was infuriated of it and stopped talking to him for a while.

That’s why she ended up at the Gym, to get her frustration out as well as to get into shape. She started running and then went to the work out section. She did a couple of squats and some push-ups. She did a full routine and within a hour she was done and started calming down. She sighed as she grabbed a bottle of water and drank from it, taking a break. Why did her life had to be such a mess after Damon? She still thought of him on occasions, wishing she could have gone back in time so she wouldn’t be so nagging to the point of having herself dumped by him. Things sadly, didn’t work that way and she went back to work out once again. This time, she went on with jumping jacks and lifted some weights. Thirty minutes went on and she drank water once again and went on the carpets to stretch herself.

It had been a while since she had worked out like this and it made her feel better about herself. Now, if only her hard work would be paid off!

Damon was loving life right now. He just got a contract for a year on a new tv show. If all went well they promised him a four year contract. Damon's role fit him, he was playing a bad boy Dean. His step father for the first time wasn't yelling or hitting him. But then again his stayed away from him as best as he could. Nothing could make his mood go down. Well, kinda he found out that his Ex was living in the Palm Woods. Ending their relationship was probably the stupidest thing Damon had ever done but he couldn't do anything about it. He learned that she was dating someone else, and he was happy for her.

Damon walked around Palm Woods with a bag over his shoulders he made his way into the male's locker room. His role meant he need to get into shape, which he was, but he knew he could be better. He walked out in his work out clothes while looking around. He decide weights were the best way to go, after all his arms need to be toned a little, his abs more. He walked around the corner just to see Elena. For a moment, it felt like his heart just stopped then started to beat fast. He wasn't really to go and talk to her but she was facing right at him. It wouldn't have been rude to walk away.

Building up the conference he walked over to her. "Hey there.." He gave her a small smile. He moved in for a hug then stopped and was about to stick out his hand. Damon wasn't quite sure what to do so he just gave her a small wave.

Elena sighed as she was stretching her legs, sitting down onto the carpets until she raised her head up to find Damon. She blinked, at first, thinking that it might just be her imagination. She had heard that Damon was living around Palmwoods but ever since she lived there she had never seen him around so she assumed that either way it was a lie or that he had been too busy to even pay attention to her. She figured it was best that way, considering that she seemed to have a terrible pick in boyfriends. Of course, she was still doubting over if she had truly seen her boyfriend with another girl or not and when she remembered of the scene she shook her head and looked back at the man who had been her first love and whom she considered her true love.

She bit her lips as he spoke, thus meaning that he actually existed and was standing there right in front of her. How odd, after three years, they finally saw each other again. She slowly rose her body up so she wasn’t stretching her leg anymore and stared at him, surprised he was actually there and not with someone else…she wasn’t sure about if he was dating anyone since they were both just at the gym and she’d rather not think of it.

“… Damon…” she let out, still staring at him out of surprise. “Hi, it’s been a while.” She added with a small smile, realizing she was still on the carpet, she stood up and extended her hand to shake his in greeting. She thought of hugging him but she was a tad too awkward to try and do that with him. Not after she knew she might have feelings for him still.

His eyes just stared at her for a moment. She seem a little shocked to see him which wasn't a surprise. But she hadn't slapped him, yell at him or called him any names. So she must have forgiving him a little bit. Damon broke the contact by looking down at her hand. He reached out and shook a little bit but it didn't feel right. He wanted to pull her in for a hug. The only thing stopping Damon was that he didn't know how she would have felt about that.

Damon's hand let go of hers as it moved to the back of his neck. He rubbed it a little bit, which he would always do when he was either nervous or feeling awkward. Right probably a little of both was going through his head. Lucky for Damon, he had just broking up with a girl about two weeks ago so he was single again but that didn't mean he could do much. After all Elena had a boyfriend. Though he could break them up if he wanted too. But at the moment he wasn't to sure what he wanted.

Damon gave a small chuckle. It had been awhile, though he didn't know she was living here. But then again he doesn't really care who lives in the same building as him. And he was never around because he spent most of his time as far away as possible. Mostly because of Dan and his mother. "I'd say more then awhile, more like years... About three very long years..." He decide to looking away because he felt like he was staring at her to much, he looked at people passing by for a moment before looking at her. "How have you been, other then you still look beautiful maybe even more then before." He gave her a soft smile before arching his eyebrow.

Elena had to admit that she still didn’t understand how he could have dumped her three years ago. Of course, she was over it…maybe not as much as she thought she was but she didn’t think that Damon deserved a slap, for now. She had never been the violent type of person and she wondered for a moment about if he was still being abused by his parents. She bit the inside of her cheek at the thought, wishing she could do anything to help him even though she knew that she probably couldn’t and that if she tried to do anything again he’d just push her away like he had done before.

She gave him a small smile, it was true that it had been three years and it was indeed more than awhile. She couldn’t help it though; she didn’t know what she could tell him other than that. She still was attracted to him and it made her more cautious around Damon. Not that she didn’t trust him, it was more that she didn’t trust herself around him and thus, even though she had a cheating boyfriend…

She nodded agreeing with his words. “A far too long three years…” she added as she stretched her left arm. The wall next to her was made of mirrors so they could see themselves working out so she decided to turn around when stretching her other arm, that way, she was still looking at Damon and hoped not to be too rude around him. She bit the inside of her cheek once again when he complimented her and tried her best not to blush at his comment. “Why thank you, dancing helped me stay in shape.” She replied trying to ignore him as best as she could. Yeah, if she continued doing that, her feelings probably wouldn’t be in the way.

Damon moved over to sit down on a weight bench. He looked over at her and let out a breath. Everyday he regretted breaking up with her. How could he be so stupid to have done that. Right, he didn't want to talk about the abuse he was getting. She was the only one who really knew other then Stefan and that was hard for him to convince Stefan not to worry about it. But even then he does, Damon tries to act like it is ok, that his life is great but it isn't, it a huge mess he doesn't know how to fix. But he wasn't going to let Elena know that was still happening, that could cause a fight or she'd worry again.

"Yeah, I guess that is kinda my fault for leaving you without tell you." Well he did tell her just over a text, which was crappy on his part, he disappeared from her, changed his number got rid of her email, just about every contract he ever had of hers. Though he kept everything of theirs in a little box in his room, the pictures, love notes. He would look though them when he felt worthless that nobody care about him. Damon wondered if she still had any of her stuff he gave her. He knew he had the necklace he gave her, she threw that at him. He wondered about the teddy bear, pictures, the letters he wrote to her. In his head she probably didn't why would she, after all he broke up with her, she probably didn't want to see any of it. "Still dancing that is good to hear, well it does a pretty good job for you." He smiled at her. "I need to start working out for a new Tv show I just got a contract for. Called "Love Hate & Betrayal" Maybe you read about it, I recently did a interview about it." Damon looked at her for a moment before looking away.

Elena still couldn’t believe that she was actually speaking to Damon, three years after he broke up with her with a text. Oh, she didn’t tell him and she kept telling herself that she would slap him whenever she would see him again for doing this but she was unable to do it. Why? She had no ideas…or maybe she knew that it was because she still had those feelings for him. Kinda? It wasn’t just a ‘kinda his fault’ it was his fault and he had to assume himself since he was the one who broke up with her. Especially while she still loved him! She bit the inside of her cheek even more until she felt blood running down her throat. Ew. She swallowed and looked away.

“With a text.” She said somewhat coldly even if it wasn’t her intention to begin with. She couldn’t help it; she was still mad at him about that one. Though, no matter all she could say against him, she wasn’t one to speak. She still kept his things, in her closet and since her boyfriend wasn’t living with her she could pull these out whenever she wanted. She nodded and gave him a small smile when she spoke of dancing. It was the only thing that made her happy right now other than her friends.

She listened to him as he spoke of his new TV show and thought the title was rather ironic. “That’s great, I’m happy for you and to be honest, I don’t watch television much, I’ve been practicing my dancing a lot.”

Damon frowned a little bit by her tone of voice. She was still upset by that text. He could understand that. It was a douchbag move on his part. He rubbed his neck moving his head around trying to think of what to say. He never gave her an straight answer on why he broke up with her maybe he should start there. "I know... I'm sorry about that. I should have came and face you. But to be honest... I don't think I could have broken up with you, if I tried to say it to your face." He looked away, to hide his eyes, the sadness in them. "I guess, I should tell you why I did it though, I should have told you a long time ago." Damon gain the confidence to look up at her again. "I just need you to know one thing. Princess.. Elena, I never stopped loving you. You mean the world to me. I was just to blind to see it I guess." He stared at her even though he wanted to look away really bad.

He gave her a soft smile. She was never one to watch tv. He tried, but he didn't either. The only thing he watched was him or Stefan. Or if Elena ever made it on the tv. He did watch the reviews on him to see what people had to say. But he did that on his ipad at night usually. But he liked to be active, he didn't like his eyes glued to the tv unless they need to be. "Thanks, I'm hoping it will go for a couple years." He gave a small chuckle. "I glad your still dancing your amazing at it." He stood up walking over to her. His hand moved to her cheek and touched it softly. "I've missed you a lot."

It was weird, being with Damon again. She could have sworn that she went over him but apparently, the way she reacted to him showed him that she hadn’t. She still had those feelings for him deep down and even if she tried hard to get over those, she couldn’t. It hurt to be dumped by the way he had picked, by a text and whenever she thought of it she was mad and felt like slapping him but when she looked back at him, again, she just couldn’t bring herself to do so. She looked back at him when he finally told her the reason of why he dumped her and sighed when he called her princess. That pet name she cherished so much when it came from Damon. “I’m glad you realized it.” She only managed to say. Why was she dating a cheater again? She could just go back with Damon but she was still reluctant about it.

She gave him a small smile trying not to let her emotions resurface the time she listened to him. She was happy he managed to find a job with all that seemed to happen to him, she figured that working would keep him distracted enough from going down the hill. She was glad that he was still standing no matter how his father used to beat him before. She didn’t know how often his dad did that to him but she knew that he did so and it pained her just to know it. “Thanks.” She gave him another smile as he complimented her dancing. “I’m actually working on a musical, well, it’s going to be a movie and I’m working on what the choreographies would be.” She explained to him. She slightly looked away as he touched her cheek. “L-look, Damon, it’s not that I don’t have feelings for you…,” she paused thinking of what she could say and backed away slightly. “But, I am dating someone right now…” she trailed off hoping that her words would be enough to prevent any form of cheating even though she was the first one being cheated on…woah, lots of cheating there. She was getting herself mentally confused.

He gave a small chuckle shaking his head. "I realized it, the next morning when I didn't have you next to me." His smile faded away. "I was scared when you found out what was happening to me, with my mom's husband abusing me." He voice went down a bit. "I was scared of what you might think of me, think of everything. After all you the only person who knows that happens to me other then my best friend. I didn't want you feeling sorry for me. Think less of me. I already had a hard time thinking you could do better with out me." One thing Damon hated was the stupid phobia his old anger management teacher told Damon he had. Damon didn't want to believe but looking at it now it was pretty clear he did.

Damon smiled to hear her news. He was happy for her, she was living her dream and nobody was stopping her. "That great to hear. You have to let me know which movie so I can watch it with Stefan, and let him know what you did to make the movie awesome." He chuckles, as he talked like the movie was already great. But with her working in it. Damon knew it would be great just like she was.

That smile and laugh faded away real quick when she stepped back. Damon knew for a fact now she had a boyfriend.. Part of it, no all of it crushed him. But he couldn't be upset because it was he fault on why she was gone. "Elena... As long as this guy is making you happy that is all I won't. And don't lie to me, trust me I know you well enough to tell." He eyebrow arched a little bit while he let out a deep breath. "Also, you don't love him if you still have feeling for me. Even if you think you do. I will always love you more then anyone, everything about. Your goofy cute laugh, that cute nose of yours. The fact your are so sweet and generous you want to put others first when it comes to career. That your amazing dancer and I've always believed in you. That you are so sweet to others even if they don't deserve your kindness. This is why I loved you when I met you, and why I love you today. I don't believe you will find someone who loves you like that. And trust me Elena, this list could go on for hours." He gave her a soft smile before looking down.

Elena looked at him as he explained himself. She could understand his fear for when she found out but honestly, she wouldn’t think less of him because of that. She loved him for who he was and how he was with her and nothing would change that. She shook her head at him. “I would never think less of you no matter what happens to you.” She told him. She thought it was obvious to him but apparently not. It pained her a little but she knew pretty well that she would still end up forgiving him; she had always did. Ironically, she thought, she couldn’t do better than him. She shook her head and gave him a small smile. “I doubt I could do better than you.” She said, completely honest.

She smiled and nodded at him when he spoke of her movie. “Of course, when we’re allowed to give away the title I’ll let you know.” She promised him. How could she tell him not something as important as that? For once she was able to do something with dancing and not stay in the back because she gave away all of her spots to others who needed it more than she did. (At least, that’s what she thought).

Still, she wasn’t sure it was a good thing she stayed with him, even though she knew pretty well she loved him and her boyfriend cheated on her. She tried to give him a smile but only a little one graced onto her lips. What he said next surprised her, the way he described her, talked of her, said that he still loved her. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought and her cheeks went rosy. The words she had been wanting to hear from him, finally were there, out of his mouth. She bit her lips but quickly her worries went away when she grabbed his face lightly to kiss his lips softly, for a brief moment until she pulled away and blushed even more. “I think.. I’ll finish stretching, you should go work out…” she added thinking it might have been a mistake but she knew deep down that she didn’t regret what she had just done.

His misty blue eyes looked at her, they looked like a lost puppy dog. Feeling so much emotions yet only showed one. The one he didn't feel but knew it would protect him in the long run. His heart race a little bit hearing those words come from her mouth. The he didn't feel like he deserved them. "I know you wouldn't. It just part of me believe it, the part of me that should stay home, and I shouldn't listen to." He made a small joke from it as he chuckled softly. Those last words that come out of her mouth made Damon feel like it wasn't over. That he still had a chance with her. Elena was his, no matter what through better and worse. As Damon was hers and no person could take her place. "Same here, nobody could take your place." After all he spent the three years trying to have relationships but they all failed badly. Most of it, well all of it was his fault to. After all he was trying to be in a relationship with someone when really he was in love with Elena.

Damon gave her a small pout face. "I guess I could wait. Though if you told me, it not like I would tell everyone. After all you know me. I like to keep to myself. But if I wait that just means you have to come and tell me. So I would see you again." It was true, only friend he really had was Stefan, the other people didn't like his attitude, how he didn't care about would happened if he got in trouble and mostly his stubbornness. "So I can wait, plus I wouldn't want you to get in trouble because you told me."

When she moved back close to him, he could feel his heart acting all weird in his pace of motion. When her hand grabbed his face he was ready for it. Damon tried his best to keep back the smile. When she kissed him, his eyes closed shut but reopened when she pulled away. Damon had a huge smile on his face. He couldn't even work out at a time like this. His thoughts were everywhere if it had to do with Elena. What was going to happen between them now. She wasn't going to just say goodbye to all that. Though if she did, he couldn't blame her. "I think we should skip this, we can do this any other day or time. Lets go hang out and talk for old time sake." He spoke softly. Damon brought his hand up to her chin, he rubbed softly. "I love you." He said quietly before pressing his lips against hers. Though this time he deepened the kiss a little more.

Elena could understand Damon’s fears but she was a bit disappointed over the fact that he didn’t believe her. How could he not? Did he not know that she was honest most of the time? She said most because she didn’t speak much about how her boyfriend was being an ass for cheating on her. Not to add that since her feelings resurfaced things were being slightly more difficult for her to actually not give into Damon. She knew that she had always had feelings for him and that she still would but how would she deal with the whole boyfriend story? Besides, she was still hurt over the fact he dumped her by a text.

She smiled and shook her head. “I’m going to keep it quiet until it goes out.” She lost a bit of trust into Damon after…their breakup but she didn’t feel like telling him that. She paused thinking of what he added then, it was true that if she did wait until she could tell him, she’d have to go to him. Perhaps it would have been best for her to tell him already, oh well, her decision was made. “Thanks for understanding.” She said with a small nod.

Elena looked around hoping not a lot of people had seen her kissing Damon. She wondered about if she was even famous as a dancer but probably not. Her cheeks were burning slightly as she tried not to look at the smiling Damon. Why did he have to be so gorgeous? She hated herself for even thinking that!

She really wanted to leave at this point, but when Damon proposed to go do something else she hesitated. She wanted to go with him but still… she looked down as he brought up his hand. She should go away, she should be back with her boyfriend, not with Damon but when he finally said that he loved her and kissed her…she simply couldn’t resist and gave in as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back, her eyes closed for a while. “Damon, I…” She began between kisses. “I love you too but…” what was she saying again? Her boyfriend vanished out of her mind.

He notice her looking around making Damon snap back to life. For a moment it felt like they were the only two there. Like they were along but once she looked around Damon did the same. He knew with the new tv show he was in there would be people everywhere trying to get anything on him. And the last thing he need was someone taking a picture of him and Elena kissing. Well it wouldn't be to bad if she wasn't dating Eric. Who is his eyes wasn't good enough for her. Nobody was good enough for her. Not even Damon was, but just because he wasn't good enough didn't mean they were prefect together. They both changed each others lives in a positive way. At times anyways.

A smile appeared on Damons face. He wrapped his arms around her waist. "You know I will always understand you Elena Hannah Davidson. More then anyone else. Well other then your parents, at times anyways." He moved one hand up to moved a eyelash away from her cheek. He didn't know what he was doing but it felt all right to him. He was hoping she was feeling the same way and didn't want to push him away. "Speaking of your parents. How are they doing.. Though they probably aren't happy with me after what I did." He frowned a little bit, knowing he messed up. If he could go back in time he would, but that wasn't possible so he had to deal with it. Deal with it by winning her back, and getting to realized that he was better then Eric. That Damon loved her more then anything. Nobody could ever beat that.

"Shhh..." Damon shook his head. He grabbed her hand as he walked back slowly. "We loved each other Elena, there is no but." His eyes looked into hers as his bite the bottom of his lip. He still walked back slowly making his way to the stairs after all it was the best route. If they tried to go through the lobby and the elevate to many people would see them together. Which could be a bad picture when she had her boyfriend. But then again that could end them. But Damon wanted Elena to end the relationship because she loved Damon not because they got caught. "Just follow me, we will be happy together. Nobody needs to know." He kissed her neck softly. "After all I love you more then anyone Elena." He smiled softly at her.

Elena gave a small smile at Damon. She was aware that they were still at the gyms and that paparazzi’s might decide to take a picture of them since Damon was most likely famous. She felt bad about it though, if it was to happen, what would she do? Would her boyfriend find out? It made her slightly worried and she bit her lips at the thought. Hopefully nothing bad happened while they had kissed. Oh God, she was starting to regret her own actions and hopefully it wouldn’t have too bad drawbacks in the future.

Damon was right though, no one would probably love her as much as he did and she was very touched and flattered by it. She had feelings for Damon too but she was a bit reluctant into going back together with him considering that he had dumped her in a horrible way. She smiled a bit more when he spoke of her parents. “They’re fine, they’re still living at LA and enjoying it.” She didn’t tell him that at times, her mom questioned her about Damon; she didn’t think it was a good thing to tell him especially not while she was dating someone else and that it was obvious her mother preferred Damon over Eric…especially now that he was cheating on her. She sighed at the thought.

She looked up at him as he grabbed her hand and lead her away from the gym. Her cheeks burnt slightly. She gave him another small smile…it wouldn’t hurt if she followed him for today no? “Fine…even if I’m dressed that way though?” She asked him. Maybe they could make it to her apartment and she could go get her things the next day. She smiled at him a little still. “You know I love you too…” she let it slip. Hopefully, Eric was busy with another date right now.
