Working Out | Damon

[Damon Hoechlin]

Part of Damon wanted someone to take a picture of them together or kissing. If they did it would be the easiest was to get them to break up. But Damon didn't want him to break up with her because he found out about Damon. That wouldn't end up being right. Damon wanted Elena to break up with Eric. In Damon's eyes that showed him that she doesn't want to be with him and she knows that Damon will be best for her.... Hopefully. He messed up once he couldn't do it again. Though he didn't really mess up. He just got scared and walked out of that relationship. He knew once she found out about the abuse she would want to help him out. But she couldn't it was something Damon had to do on his own. Damon need to be the one to kick them out of his life. But he just couldn't do it. He was use to the abuse that it was a normal thing to him. But it scared Damon that it could get worse like it was, he was starting to get hit in the face that never happened because of him being an actor but his step father didn't care anymore as long as Damon showed some type of pain.

A smile showed on his face, it was a sweet smile that he didn't show often. Usually he would just smirk or give a hard I don't smile but Elena brought out the real him. She got rid of that bad boy, or at least most of it. But he was smiling on the thought of her parents. Who he loved more then his family, other then his father who past away. They were great parents. "That great news. I'll have to take them out to dinner with you. Catch up on the good days. I have missed them a lot." He chuckled softly looking down at their feet.

As he moved towards his place, all he wanted to do was kiss her. Hug her, just be with her. Damon would have lead the way to her place but he didn't know the number also he had something for her. "Yes, I think you look beautiful Elena. Like always. You could be dress up as a hotdog and I would still think your beautiful. Because everything about you is beautiful, not just your looks, your personality, your cute little laugh, voice. Everything." He chuckles softly, though when he spoke, he meant everything, he was done lying to her and everyone. Damon brought his other hand up to her chin and rubbed it softly. "I know you do Princess." They got closer to Damon's place, thankfully his parents left. They wanted to go and celebrate... Well Damon never bothered to asked but that meant it was empty. Not that he was going to do anything even if he really wanted to. That just meant it would be peaceful and quite. "Hope you don't mind going to my place for a moment. I need to pick up a couple things."

Elena couldn’t hide the fact that she was surprised that Damon actually was fond of her parents. She wasn’t sure about if he did or not to begin with but she was glad to know it was the case, that he actually enjoyed the company of her parents. She didn’t know at first how he would take the fact that she had a happy family while he was going through hell half of the day. She didn’t talk of Damon’s situation to her parents though even if she was dying to ask for her mother tips on what she could do to help him. She thought she was being good by doing that but apparently; she wasn’t enough for Damon as he got scared and kicked her out of his life, until today, until they met again here at the gym.

She gave him a small smile when he was happy to hear of them and nodded, agreeing on the fact that a dinner with him and her parents would be nice. Especially since it was a first to know that your boyfriend actually wanted to meet up with your family…even though Damon wasn’t technically her boyfriend to begin with. “That sounds like a plan, I’m sure they’d like to hear of what you’ve done when we didn’t have the contact with you.” She said as she looked at him. She followed him out of the gym silently; unsure of what she was going to tell him next. It was still awkward after all, he was her first love but they weren’t together. Would her parents find it odd to see him even though they weren’t dating? Maybe if she said that they were just friends they would want to see him again.

She looked up at him as he complimented her. “I’m glad you still think that.” She smiled a bit more at him. To be honest, her boyfriend didn’t make her think like that at all at the moment, even less while he was flirting with other girls. She shook her head when they neared his place. “Not at all, then we can go to my place if you want.” She smiled and shrugged. She just hoped for him that his parents weren’t there right now.

A smile broke out on his face, what made it better was that it wasn't so cocky smirk or grin. It was his real smile he had been hiding forever. Well it felt more like it was lost after he left her. Everything felt lost, like there was a missing piece of him. Which was probably his heart because he stopped caring about everyone and everything. What shocked him a bit was the fact she didn't say her parent were mad at him for breaking her heart. Once they all got together he would apologize to them. Maybe with Elena around maybe not.

"I'm glad to hear that they aren't mad at me for my stupidity." He spoke softly. He opened the door to his place. He wasn't sure if he should tell her about him still being with his parents. Well his mother wasn't to bad. But Dan his step father might not make her to happy. After all not seeing her for about two or something years you would think he would stop getting abused but that wasn't the case. If anything it was happening more just because Damon back talked more. Also lately his face has been the target. "Well the parents aren't here for a moment so your place would probably be the better place to hang out at." He pulled her inside and shut the door. Taking her up stairs towards his bedroom. Pulling the key out of his pocket he unlocks the door. "Don't ask about the lock." Chuckles a little.

Damon pulls of his shirt, and walks over to his dresser looking for a shirt. Glancing at her through the mirror he lets out a sigh. Damon shuts the dresser and walk over to his bed. Getting out a knee he pulls out a shoe box. Opening the box up he pulls out the necklace. His eyes stare at it for a moment before getting up. "You remember the first time I told you I loved you." Turns around to face her. "I gave you a necklace that I had engraved, You have my heart." He said softly. Before he left he took the necklace away from her before he ditched out. He held the necklace out showing it to her. "I believe this is yours. I know I was stupid to take it after giving it to you.. It just I didn't want it to get thrown away out of anger. Because I knew that we would be together again." Damon looked down at his feet. "This is the only reason I wanted to go to my room was to give you this back."

Elena gave a small smile at Damon as they talked of her parents. Secretly, she was impressed by the fact that he asked her about her parents, considering that Eric never bothered himself asking about them nor enjoyed seeing them when they had the chance to. They had had a couple of fights about it before but she kept it to herself. She didn’t want to give false hopes to Damon while she was trying to keep her relationship with Eric sane. It would be hard but she was confident that it would work…hopefully. She just didn’t feel it would be honest if she just dumped him right after she had the chance to talk to Damon again.

She blinked as she followed him to his apartment and he guided her to his room. She nodded as he spoke of his family. She wondered about if he was still beaten. She hoped not and she didn’t want to have an awkward meeting with his family either since she didn’t get to talk to them much and to be honest, his step father scared her a lot. She glanced down at the lock and looked back at Damon but he told her not to ask anything…she sighed and nodded, giving him a small smile.

She tilted her head to the side as she watched him going for his dresser right when he changed of clothes. It had been a while since she had seen him bare chest and it made her blush. She couldn’t help it – she always had that attraction for him. Looking at him curiously, she noticed the box he pulled out and saw the necklace. Was it for her? “Yeah I remember.” She responded when she recalled one of the most cherished memories she had from the time she was dating him. She looked at the necklace then back at Damon and smiled softly at him. “I can’t believe you still kept it after all these years, it was the best gift you gave me.” She said honestly before smiling at him and standing up. She hesitated for a moment before wrapping her arms around his waist into a hug it might have been a too bold action but at this point, she didn’t care. At least, not for now.

Damon smiled as he heard her say it was the best gift she had ever gotten from him. No matter how hard it was for Damon he was trying to behave himself. Why did she have to be his love of his life, why did Damon have to be so stupid and break up with her, why couldn't he have been like any other human and talk about his problems with her. "I could never get rid of it. I know I've said this already, but I never stopped loving you Elena. Even when I left I loved you, at the time I thought I was doing what was best. But I realized what I did was selfish." Damon felt her arms move around her waist. His arms moved around her waist too, well more above the waist being he was taller then her.

"Elena if I could, I would have never broken up with you. It just I didn't know how to tell you about what was going on. I didn't want you to think of me different... To worry about me." Damon wanted to pull away from her but he held on to her tighter. He missed her so much that he didn't want to lose her. Damon finally looked into her eyes and his light blue eyes filled with sadness. "I love you so much that this will be the last time I'll say it and do this while your in a relationship." His lips pressed up against hers softly, holding it there not wanting to pull away. The last thing Damon wanted to do was end the relationship she had with her boyfriend, even if part of him wanted to fight it. Those words hurt him when he spoke but knew she had someone, maybe not moved on but maybe she would realized that Damon was the right one for her. So in the mean time he would be her friend.

To be honest, everything was getting confusing for Elena. Her feelings for Damon were unmistakeable but she was seeing someone, she was seeing Eric and he happened to be cheating on her. If she wasn’t stupid she would already have dumped him but she was positive that maybe she could have a better relationship with Eric and besides, Damon had only reappeared in her life till today. She was happy that he apologized for the things he had done thought and she knew that he was honest with his words. She smiled at him and nodded before blushing as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

“You know I am still going to be your friend despite what you went through.” She smiled a bit but her heart ached from the fact that she could be much happier with him than she is with Eric right now. At the thought, the young woman bit her lips and looked down for a brief moment. Her guard was down now that she wasn’t in a public space and knew that paparazzi’s weren’t around to spy on her or worse, on Damon. She knew that she wasn’t considered a famous person so she didn’t worry much about herself unless…they spoke of her relationship with Damon that was more than confusing.

She felt her cheeks blush once again as he reassured her it would be the last time he’d kiss her…though, part of her was unhappy about it. Her eyes closed when he kissed her and she returned his kiss with more confidence this time, now that she knew they were alone and that nothing could harm them. Her hands moved slightly to his chest as she held onto his shirt to help herself deepening her possible last kiss.
